| Felixstowe is a small friendly club that believes the ability to swim is an invaluable life skill. Felixstowe swimming club adheres to the ASA equity policy and adopts the sport England definition of Sports Equity:- Sports equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport to ensure that it becomes equally accessible to all members of society, whatever their age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality or socio-economic status. The club promotes the sport of swimming by providing a structured teaching program. All our lessons follow the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). These lessons take place in a safe environment with an element of fun and cover all levels of swimming ability from beginner to full competence via 10 stages. To enable swimmers to reach their full potential according to their individual levels of ambition, ability and application, we operate with a high ratio of teacher/coach to swimmer in our Learner/improver section, with opportunities for some 1-1 sessions for who require it. All of our teaching/coaching staff are Amateur Swimming Association qualified and experienced swimming teachers, who are committed to a programme of continuous improvement including the professional development. So you know that dedicated and knowledgeable people are teaching your children. |
